Ooo Earl Slim, you saucy thing. Defenestrated? WTF? I’ll have to look that one up.
It sounds like something you’d have done to the cat, but the literal meaning of defenestrate is to be thrown out a window (la fenetre). Throwing people out of windows has been regarded as an act of political dissent so it has that meaning historically – as in the Defenestrations of Prague in 1618. Although in my life it is probably been more the case of self-defenestration
All things considered, it seems quite appropriate.
If the epithets, wear it!
