The Dog’s Bollocks

Truth is like a dog’s bollocks – pretty obvious if you care to look.

No skanky ho for David Jones kid’s winter catalog

David Jones may be suing the Australia Institute over its Corporate Pedophilia report targetting them for advertising that sexualised young children, but the AI has clearly had the desired effect. DJ’s ad in the Good Weekend today for their kids’ winter range is as wholesome as apple pie – not a hint of skanky-ho to be seen.

I felt revolted when I saw stores advertising G-strings and padded bras for 8 year old kids.

I am not sure if it was David Jones advertising and or selling these products but I and I am sure a lot of other parents too said what parent wants to dress their 8 year kid in a G-string and padded bra and what store would sell them.

Yeah, it really is off. But for the retail and advertising corporations, pre-teens are a goldmine. And we all know that sex sells.

Elsewhere this week in the blogosphere was a story on the effects of sexual objectification on young girls and it ain’t healthy.

But you can be sure that DJs advertising is now overseen at the highest levels of management. The AI report clearly damaged them and the court case will only prolong the agony.
