The Dog’s Bollocks

Truth is like a dog’s bollocks – pretty obvious if you care to look.

A weekend is a long time in politics…

I spent the weekend at a music camp in the Yarra Valley, and on my return to civilisation I read that Howard is going to bring David Hicks home before the election. Obviously desparate times for Howard to surrender one of the cornerstones of his personal war on terror. What next – bringing home the troops, closing the detention centres, signing Kyoto, restoring working conditions and unfair dismissal provisions, an apology to the Stolen Generation? Interesting times ahead indeed!

One of two things will happen to Hicks before the election – he will return to Australia or be found guilty. Nothing surer. He is Johnny’s “ace in the hole” so to speak
